LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 16, 2009--
Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) announced today that Raja Rajamannar has been
appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation and Marketing
Officer, effective April 27.
In his new role, Rajamannar will be responsible for leading the
company’s Innovation Center, as well as its Marketing, Corporate
Communications and Government Relations organizations. He will report to
Mike McCallister, Humana’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Rajamannar comes to Humana with 24 years of global business management
experience, including the last 15 years with Citigroup, the New
York-based banking conglomerate.

for Citigroup is highly aligned with our industry leadership in

Rajamannar was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief
Marketing Officer for the Global Cards division of Citigroup. As
Executive Vice President of Citigroup’s Credit Cards Business from 2006
to 2008, he managed the bank’s value, cash and rewards business, as well
as the automotive and telecommunications sectors. He also headed the new
product development and new payment technologies groups. From 2003 to
2005 he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Citigroup’s Diners
Club North America business.
A native of India, Rajamannar holds a Master of Business Administration
degree from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore. He received
a bachelor of technology degree in chemical engineering from Osmania
University in Hyderabad.
