Humana Expresses Sympathy on Passing of Board Member James O. Robbins

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 2007--Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), today mourns the death of James O. Robbins, a member of Humana's board of directors. Mr. Robbins died Wednesday after a battle with cancer. Robbins, a former president and chief executive officer of Cox Communications, joined the Humana board in August 2005.

"Jim's passing leaves us at Humana with a great sense of sadness. Having him on our board these past two years allowed us to know and appreciate his warmth, character and dedication, all of which will be greatly missed," said David Jones, Jr., chairman of Humana's board of directors.
