Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs Officer

Jay Khosla serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, leading Humana’s organizational strategy for public policy, advocacy, including Humana’s Political Action Committee, and policy related programming. He is also responsible for creating and advancing federal, state, and local public policies on behalf of the company while working in close collaboration with executive and business leadership. Jay is a member of the Company’s Management Team Extended, which assists the Management Team in setting out and executing on the company’s strategic business goals.

Jay joined Humana in early 2020 after working in the Office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, where he served as the Chief Economic Policy Counsel and oversaw a broad portfolio ranging from tax and international trade to financial services, retirement, and housing policy. Jay also served as Majority Staff Director for the Senate Finance Committee and directed the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 – the most significant overhaul of the domestic and international tax code in 30 years. In all, Jay has over 15 years of leadership experience on Capitol Hill in tax, trade, financial services, and healthcare policy.

Jay has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a master’s degree in health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and he holds a law degree from the University of Richmond Law School. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Supreme Court Bar, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of Washington DC, and the American Council on Germany. He also serves on the board of the Winston Health Policy Fellowship.
