Celeste Mellet, Chief Financial Officer, joined Humana in January 2025. In this role, Celeste is responsible for all accounting, actuarial, analytical, financial, internal audit, investor relations, risk management, tax, and treasury activities. Celeste is a member of the Management Team, which sets the company's strategic direction, and reports to President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Rechtin.

Prior to joining Humana, Celeste most recently worked at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a leading infrastructure fund manager acquired by BlackRock, Inc. in 2024, where she held the position of Partner and Chief Financial Officer from February 2023 until January 2025. Prior to GIP, Celeste was Evercore’s Chief Financial Officer, a Senior Managing Director and an Executive Vice President of the firm between 2021-2023. She was responsible for Evercore’s financial, strategy, tax, information technology and facilities functions. Before joining Evercore, Celeste worked at the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) where she served as Fannie Mae’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (2018-2021) and SVP and Deputy Chief Financial Officer (2017-2018), having responsibility for financial management functions, including capital management, controllers, financial reporting, procurement, financial planning and analysis, treasury, asset/liability and liquidity management. She also led corporate strategy, involving strategic planning and economic research and managed relationships with external stakeholders, such as government and regulatory entities, analysts, banks and the fixed-income and mortgage industries. Before her tenure at Fannie Mae, she spent more than 18 years at Morgan Stanley, last serving as global treasurer. She was also the head of investor, creditor and counterparty relations. Previously, as an equity research analyst, she covered financial, media, and gaming and lodging.

Celeste earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University. Celeste also serves as the Vice President of the Board of Trustees of The Lawrenceville School.
