Paul J. Smith

Paul J. Smith was initially elected to the Board in July 2026. Mr. Smith is Chief Commercial Officer at Anthropic, PBC having held this position since August 2025. In this role, Mr. Smith leads commercial strategy and global go-to-market operations as the company scales to meet growing enterprise demand worldwide. Before joining Anthropic, Mr. Smith worked for ServiceNow from July 2020 until September 2025, where he held roles of increasing responsibility and served most recently as Special Advisor and President of Global Customer and Field Operations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Smith held senior leadership roles at Salesforce and Microsoft. Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Plymouth in the UK.

The Board believes that Mr. Smith, being an accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience guiding the world’s largest enterprises in responsibly adopting technology and AI at scale along with a strong track record in product development and client service, will be valuable as the Company continues to advance Humana’s long-term vision to become a consumer healthcare company.
